Your privacy choices

Aparté, beta version. Last updated: October 19, 2026.

Aparté creates no account, shows no ads and includes no audience measurement tool: there is no advertising tracking to refuse. Here is what you can control yourself, and where.

Sending your transcripts to Claude

In Aparté, Settings, Privacy section, the “Summaries by Claude” option allows the transcript and the context of the meeting to be sent to Claude, Anthropic's model. When it is off, nothing is sent: your meetings are transcribed on the device and wait, without a summary, until you turn it back on. You can change your mind at any time.

Your calendar and the names of participants

In Aparté, Settings, Permissions and calendar section, the “Link meetings to your calendar” option decides whether the title of the scheduled event and the names of the people invited to it accompany the transcript. When it is off, Aparté no longer reads your calendar. Email addresses are never sent.

Choosing a participant from your contacts does not give access to your address book: only the chosen name is kept.

iPhone and iPad permissions

The microphone, speech recognition, calendar, location and notifications are managed in the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, under Aparté, or from the app with “Review permissions”. The meeting location stays on the device: it is never sent to the Aparté server or to Claude. To find its address, the device queries Apple's maps service.

Deleting your data

Your subscription

The Aparté Premium subscription is managed in your Apple Account settings, under Subscriptions, or from Aparté, Settings, “Manage subscription”. Aparté receives neither your name nor your payment method.

Usage measurement

The Aparté server measures how the app is used by itself, with no third-party tool: the install's activity days, the time and cost of summaries, the move to a subscription. The publisher only looks at totals. To object, write to matthieu.milliot@gmail.com: the activity days linked to your install will be deleted.

Your rights

The data controller is Matthieu Milliot. To exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, write to matthieu.milliot@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr), the French data protection authority. The details of what is processed are in the privacy policy.
